  Excellent service

We came across the hotel by entering a national competition, not winning, but receiving favourable rates to book a short break.
The hotel was impressive both from the exterior view and all the interior public places and gave an overall picture of grander times. It is set back from the road in its own extensive grounds in which you are recommended to investigate.

We chose a room on the ground floor...The room itself was very large and comfortable and although again having more steps to reach the bathroom was very acceptable for our three night stay.

Eating twice in the restaurant for our evening meal and the other night used the room service. The choice of dishes was not large but the quality of what was provided was of the highest order. This included a well cooked breakfast together with an ample cold buffet. The level of service from the staff throughout was first class and we will have no hesitation in returning if we are in the area.

A wonderful hotel and restaurant experience

A third visit to this wonderful hotel to remind us of what we missing. The place is magnificent in its appearance which promises of exacting and relaxing service with the perfect amount of familiar friendliness from the staff. Proper comfortable furniture and beautifully decorated rooms with artwork to reflect the history of the Hall.

We had a one night stay to indulge in their six course taster menu, a huge suite overlooking the gardens, super king bed and a full breakfast the following morning.
We are both vegetarian which is often challenging but the chef surpassed our expectations with the six courses. The staff were all extremely knowledgable of the food and wine they served us and the history of the Hall. We even had the General Manager visit our table.

Whether you need a short break or a Sunday lunch with a stroll round the gardens, I cannot recommend this place enough.

  Simply Perfect

From arrival to departure everything on this one night stay for my 80th birthday was perfect. The hotel oozes opulence but still manages to be very welcoming; friendly; down to earth, and efficient.

The room was well equipped; the separate wardrobe area had everything you'd expect or want, and the bathroom with its under floor heating was so well laid out and furnished. Everywhere was clean and fresh.

The restaurant is beautiful and the food was absolutely wonderful - and very inventive! The staff were attentive without being oppressive. The hotel had noted my birthday and our table had an individually designed card signed by all the staff to congratulate me. A really touching thought.

We have stayed here several times over the years and I've also been here on 'ladies who lunch' outings but I think this visit was by far the best. I could not recommend Hintlesham Hall any higher.
