The re-naming of the restaurant also includes a full restoration of Robert’s old herb garden and vegetable patch, which is now in full swing once more, producing a mass of vegetables for the Kitchen including: Fine Beans, Broad Beans, Peas, Heritage Carrots, Courgettes, Swiss Chard, Radishes, along with a variety of Salads and Herbs appearing on our seasonal menus.
Dine in timeless class and elegance in our award-winning restaurant, served in our traditionally decorated dining rooms.
Hintlesham Hall’s Head Chef demands the best quality ingredients to build a well-balanced carte which appeals to gourmet and health-conscious alike. Many of the dishes encompass fresh herbs from the Hall’s famous garden, and our extensive wine list ranges the world from France to Australia, and includes a marvellous selection of half-bottles.
Our Head Chef is passionate about offering the best cuisine possible, appealing to all tastes and encompassing all dietary requirements. We have a full a la carte menu running alongside our Table d’Hote Dinner menu. We also have our informal lounge menu (available daily from 7am to 10.30pm) offering lighter bites to enjoy in any of our lounges, bedrooms or within our beautiful gardens.
Hintlesham Hall has long had a reputation for exquisite cuisine. Famous cookery writer and television chef Robert Carrier purchased the Hall back in 1971, marking the beginning of the Hall’s longstanding affiliation with fine dining. During his time here, Carrier ran exclusive cookery weekends for friends, famously opened a cookery school at the Hall, and filmed hit TV cookery programmes in one of the suites.Read More
